The Art Trust

The Art Trust offers an opportunity to gain exposure to art investment and to enhance investment returns through expert art selection.

The trust objective is to seek a return for Investors through the price appreciation of a diversified portfolio of predominantly Australian paintings, sculpture, photography, decorative arts and other collectables.

It has been formed to raise and invest a minimum of $25million, maximum $50million.

It is intended that The Art Trust will have a life of between five and eight years from the date on which the first Units are issued to investors.

The Art Trust brings together a team well-versed in the financial and Australian art markets.

• An investment in The Art Trust provides the investor with an alternative investment with low correlation to other asset classes, thus providing effective diversification for any investment portfolio.
• The Art Trust will at all times maintain direct ownership of the art collection with no leverage of the art assets.
• Management intend that The Art Trust acquire the assets of an existing art rental fund, and benefit from rental income in the future to reduce management costs.
• The current art rental fund has generated for investors average trading profits, and compound capital growth, in excess of 14% p.a. since its inception in 1997.
• Prudent investment strategies will ensure a diversified art collection to eliminate the risk of concentration.
• Investors will have direct involvement with the Trust via a dedicated investor website. In addition to other benefits, investors will have the ability to buy or rent works from the Trust, and have the ability to attend regular showings of new acquisitions.
